John Siraut is Director of Economics and Global Technology Lead for Transport Economics at Jacobs. Based in London he has worked extensively on the economic impacts of High Speed Rail over the last ten years. This has covered initial station location decisions, development impacts around stations and advising on maximising benefits to the wider region and towns and cities that are not directly on the high speed network. He is a regular speaker at conferences and is presently chair of the Transport Economics, Finance and Appraisal Committee of the European Transport Conference.
